Auritra Ghosh
Auritra Ghosh is an acclaimed Indian Actress, Choreographer, Mental Health Counselor, Dance Educator & Movement Therapy Practitioner. She founded Pause & Effect, an arts and wellness collective dedicated to integrating dance, movement, and expressive arts into education and mental health. Trained in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern dance, and theatre, she brings a deep understanding of movement and performance to her work. With over 22 years of experience, she has taught diverse age groups across schools, colleges, and dance academies.
As an actor, Auritra has starred in feature films like Love Breakups Zindagi and Dharam Sankat Mein, along with award-winning plays such as August: Osage County (Dir: Lillete Dubey, Primetime Productions). She has also conceptualised and choreographed several musicals, including The Threepenny Opera (Dir: Imaad Shah, produced by Motley Theatre Group in association with Aadyam).
Beyond performing arts, Auritra collaborates with schools to design mental health programmes for children, using dance, movement, and expressive arts to foster well-being and inclusivity.
With a presence in over 50 schools across India, her initiative, Pause & Effect, specialises in creating musicals and stage productions for children of all ages. Their work is known for its vibrant energy, imaginative storytelling, and seamless blend of dance, drama, and visual arts, making performance accessible and enriching for all.
